课程介绍Course description:

本课程对象为零起点学生。内容包括中文音节、语音系统、日常生活场景中汉语的运用及口头交际。学生将会学习中文的听说技能。

This course is the beginning course for students with no background in Chinese. It will introduce students to the Chinese syllabic structure, Chinese pronunciation system,Chinese in daily life . Students will develop the skills to talk and  read in Chinese.

课程目标Goals:

通过本课程的学习，学习者能够逐渐运用简单的汉语解决与语言学习及日常生活密切相关的问题，能就相关话题与他人进行简单的口头交际。

In this course, students will gradually use Chinese to deal with problems that relate  language study and daily life, also can talk with others in Chinese about these topics.

学生们可以达到 :

 Students will have these language skills:

1.     准确地掌握普通话的声，韵，调及其在语言交际中的拼合及变化规律；

2.     熟练地运用初级汉语最常用的词语和基本句式进行简单的话语交谈；

3.     掌握与初级口语交际相关的功能项目和口语表达方式，并能熟练地加以运用；

4.     具备初步的汉语口语交际策略和交际技能，能在课堂语言学习和日常生活中进行简单的口头交流。

在学完本课程后预计达到HSK三级水平。Students are expected to pass HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 3 after finishing the course.

《发展汉语》，初级口语I，第二版，王淑红等编著，北京语言大学出版社

Developing Chinese,  Elementary Comprehensive Course I, 2nd Edition, by Shuhong Wang (Beijing Language And Culture University Press, 2012).

评分Grading:

出勤及课堂表现Attendance and participation            20%

作业（口头和书写）Homework (oral or written)       20%

课文学习：1.生词学习。2.课文对话。3.对话练习。

 Dates and Time

Students will learn to use Chinese to tell and speak about time and dates, talk about one’s age and birthday, invite someone to dinner and arrange a dinner date.

第十课Lesson10: 我每天8点上课 I have class at 8 every day

第十一课Lesson11: 我住在留学生宿舍 I stay in the International Student Dormitory

期中考试，2023年11月29日上午8点，一分校902教室Midterm Exam will take place on Nov. 29th, 2023 at 8 :00am in 902, Campus No.1.
